Our Mission
Jesse Remington High School is a Christian community of students and faculty, pursuing wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, and is committed to raising this generation of youth to be effective leaders for Jesus Christ.
Admissions Policy
Admission to Jesse Remington High School (JRHS) is for students from spiritually and academically like-minded families who are supportive of our philosophy, objectives, and standards of education. We seek families who desire a distinctively Christian education and welcome instruction grounded in a Christian perspective and direction.
The JRHS foundational statements are to be reviewed and agreed upon before applying. Part of the application process is a signed agreement to the guiding statements of Jesse Remington High School, which is a ministry of the Candia Congregational Church:
The Ideal Applicant
JRHS stands firmly on the historic truth claims and moral foundations of Christianity. This includes, but is not limited to, the biblical definition of marriage, boundaries of sexuality and moral conduct, and the teaching that gender is sacred and established by God’s design. Parents or guardians enrolling their children at JRHS agree to support these and other Christian values derived from historical Christianity.
Enrollment and re-enrollment are contingent upon mutual understanding and agreement by both parent and student.
JRHS, as a religious institution and ministry of the Candia Congregational Church, provides a distinct Christian environment and aims to work with the home to mold students to be Christ-like. In situations where the home atmosphere or student behavior conflicts with the biblical lifestyle taught by JRHS, the school reserves the right, at its discretion, to refuse admission or discontinue enrollment.
Evaluation Standards for Prospective Students
The following standards are used to evaluate applicants:
Non-Discrimination Policy
JRHS makes no distinction in its admissions policy based on race, color, or national and ethnic origin. We admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. JRHS does not discriminate in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarships, athletics, and other school-administered programs.
